How High Do You Want to Go?

Updated: Mar 9

The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building on the planet. It stands at a massive 2, 716.5 feet with more than 160 stories! It holds multiple world records, including having the highest outdoor observation deck, the elevator with the longest travel distance, and the highest occupied floor in the world.

What impressed me the most about the edifice towering over the United Arab Emirates was not the height of the building, but rather its foundation. You see, the higher you want to build, the deeper and broader your foundation must be. Before you begin building, you need to know the finished result of what it is you want to create – before you lay the foundation.

It’s hard to make anything lasting when you lack a foundation or have an improper foundation. Whatever you build will shift, develop cracks, and eventually crumble if you don’t construct on the correct foundation.

In March and April, we are going to cover some fundamental foundational truths imperative to the building of your Christian Faith. To grow in our relationship with the Lord, we first need to make sure what we are building our lives upon is truth, and not just an opinion.

Let’s take the time to make sure what we are building upon will last!
